Sole use of 3 bed ground floor flat, sleeps 6. Sunny south facing veranda and garden - ideal for BBQs. Under a 5 minute walk from Chalkwell beach and Chalkwell train station, from where you can take a 50 minute train ride into Central London.

Le logement

The apartment has three double bedrooms. It is currently set up with a double bed in the master bedroom, a double bed in the second bedroom and two single beds in the third bedroom. The rental is ideally suited to 4 adults and 2 children.

The kitchen has wooden worktops, a range style oven with five ring gas hob, built-in fridge/freezer, double Butler sink, integrated dishwasher, microwave, toaster, cafetiere and kettle. There is a small dining table in the kitchen with 6 folding seats.

There is one TV and DVD player in the living room (with some DVDs supplied) and free wifi access.

The bathroom has both a large double ended bath and a walk in tiled shower and wc. There is also a separate wc. Bath/hand towels are supplied. Beach towels and toys are available on request.

The apartment has its own off street parking for one car, although street parking is available nearby

For groups of more than 4 adults there is an additional fee of £10 per adult, per night (or £50 per additional adult for a week's stay).

Pets are allowed (with prior consent) at a cost of £5 per night or £25 for a week's stay.

Nicks home is just that. It's warm, welcoming, very family friendly and the beds are very comfortable! We felt so relaxed during our stay, which was a tall order is we were preparing for our wedding! It was the perfect setting for this and then to relax in after the event, sipping coffee on the veranda in the morning. Would highly recommend a stay here. Great home, great location, great host and great experience xxx

Lovely spacious flat with well equipped kitchen and original features. Quiet location within a few minutes from train station and the seafront. Would definitely stay again.

A wonderful find - just moments from station (I didn't have car, but meant getting from London was easy and to Southend (where I was working) also very quick). Great and communicative (and friendly!) host who is local so nearby for any advice. Good set of instructions and essentials left in kitchen. Lovely light, peaceful rooms and very good kitchen with large range cooker. Comfy bed and excellent bathroom as others have said. Vegetarian and other good restaurants/cafes just up the road. I'd love to come back in summer and enjoy proximity to beach. Much much better than staying in a hotel in Southend!

The flat was great and exactly as advertised. We stayed there comfortably as a family of 5 for 3 weeks, 2 adults and 3 tear away kids. It is close to the beach, the train station and the shops and restaurants on Leigh Broadway so everything was close by although the car spot was definitely an advantage giving the street parking. We had a great time, thanks Nick.

We had a great experience with Nick and his property through the course of our stay. Very clear and timely communication which was a hugely reassuring on the lead up to our trip. The property is a good size with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The property is clean, the furnishings are a little worn however this didn't detract from our stay. The local shop is a 2min walk and you can be at the sea front in 5min by foot.

Fantastic place to stay in. Very clean and nicely decorated with everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms incredibly clean. The kids also loved it. Having the kids toys/ books/ plastic cups etc. was a great addition. Close to the beach and train station to get to Southend central. Would definitely recommend and would look to return ourselves. Thanks!
