Contemporary East Asheville home with excellent vibes, just 10 minutes from downtown, but with one foot in the country. The Blue Ridge Parkway and many trails are minutes away. Biltmore house also very close. A home with great flow, surrounded by the scenic Riceville community. The listing boasts 5-star ratings in all categories.
You'll get the best of town & country in this semi-rural home in the scenic Riceville community of East Asheville. It's a spacious-feeling 1,800 square foot house, with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms on a 1/2 acre of land. The home has quite the unique, contemporary design, with cathedral ceilings and a semi-open floorpan. I'd boast that it's tastefully furnished. People say it has a nice flow! It is an excellent design for entertaining.
The master suite is quite luxurious and includes an all natural latex king-size mattress in addition to his & hers sinks, a water closet, tub and a walk-in shower. The two smaller bedrooms are located on the opposing wing from the master suite which ensures plenty of privacy. There is a king-size bed in one of the rooms there, and a full-size in the other. In addition, the couch is quite comfortable, roomy even when the back cushions are taken off. The wing has a shared full bath (with walk-in shower), there is another half bath in the main living area. The kitchen includes a gas stove & oven, toaster, electric kettle, coffee maker, french press, and is well stocked with cooking supplies, plates, bowls, glasses, etc. The living area features a 49" flat screen Smart TV with soundbar and subwoofer. Stream Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu Plus and more with your subscriptions (no cable, sorry!). The home also boasts a very private, plant-rich patio, equipped with comfortable seating and shade sails in the warmer months. We also use non-harmful soaps & cleaning products in the home and are moving towards all-natural and hypoallergenic bedding and sheets in all the bedrooms. There are no pesticides used around the home.

I will be available as needed, happy to help with getting acquainted with the area, and, of course, available to resolve any issues that may arise with the property.
**Occasionally I can accommodate last minute stays of 1-2 nights. Please send me an inquiry and I will check my schedule.
There is a complimentary tea and coffee bar, which is stocked with teas, coffee, coffee filters, and includes an electric coffee grinder, an electric kettle, and a coffee maker.
Basic necessities are provided: linens, towels, toilet paper, soap and shampoo.
So you know, there is no microwave (there is a gas stove & oven, and toaster in the kitchen). Participate in composting if you like - the garden will display its gratitude :)
Also, the jets in the WHIRLPOOL TUB are out of commission for the time being but that may be remedied by the time you arrive (needs a new motor). The price IS adjusted for this.
We've had people mention wanting cable channels, but, at least for now, we're sticking to our guns with the Smart TV option. We are very much into creating a sanctuary for our guests, and one free from the overpowering stimuli of news channels, for example. You still can, however, cozy up to a movie or your favorite TV series through Netflix, Amazon Prime, or whatever service you subscribe to.
Being just barely outside Asheville city limits, this home is a LEGAL AIRBNB LISTING (there are city ordinances relative to short-term rentals that outlaw whole house rentals within the city limits).
Please note the SECURITY DEPOSIT is the amount that claims can be made up to in the case there is any damage. It is not something you need to put up front.
Be respectful of the space whilst enjoying yourself :)

I'm a holistic health practitioner and a musician, pursuing my interests in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina, where I've lived since 1994. I speak a couple of languages, love photography, and am often in the garden or out hiking. I have a small acupuncture practice in downtown Asheville and I also perform as a guitarist in solo and group settings.
Having just been using the Airbnb platform since August '14, I've actually been renting rooms in my home steadily since 2008, both to short-term and long-term guests. I pride myself on being an accommodating host and truly enjoy meeting new people. Otherwise, I'm always looking forward to using the Airbnb platform for travel!
