Very comfortable and renovated apartment in the best area of Amsterdam. There are 3 rooms: 1 attic (120 cm wide bed), 1 tiny room (with 120 cm wide bed), 1 main bedroom (queen size bed and ensuite bathroom). Terrace attached to the attic too! Also like many places in Amsterdam, there are many stairs! The stairs begin from the ground floor leading up to my apartment, then more inside to each floor. They are quite steep and narrow, so pack light and small if possible.
Each room is unique in its' own way. There is a toilet in the living room so you don't need to go up stairs, a smaller bathroom (also with shower) on the 2nd floor across the hall from the small bedroom (is only 2 meters x 2.3 meters). The ensuite bathroom in the main bedroom is very modern and has a spacious shower. So yes, there are 2.5 bathrooms in the apartment, 2 showers in total. The attic is only 1.8 meters at the highest point, and the roof slants downward from there. So yes, tall people have to bend down while walking around. It isn't convenient for all guests, but is very unique and bright as you can see from the photos. All beds are new and very clean. There is a queen size bed (2m x 1.6m), and two other smaller beds (both are 2m x 1.2 m). The two smaller beds can fit 2 people together, but not very spacious depending on your size.

I might be out of town at times, but I have a close friend that is very helpful, friendly, and available to answer all questions. I also will be checking my messages regularly throughout each day.
Again, please be aware that the stairs are quite narrow and steep, in case that is an issue for anyone.
Please refer to this link for more reviews of this listing (rental of just the attic in the same apartment, which is a separate listing):
There is a free portable WiFi Hotspot. Yes, have internet everywhere you go in Holland!
Also, if you are driving, the nearest parking garage and information to my house is at the following website:
1. No smoking anywhere in the house
2. No shoes anywhere in the house (only on the terrace)
3. No loud noise or parties
4. No additional guests not registered to the house (meaning, no more than 6 guests, unless initially requested, discussed with me, and pre-approved )
5. Turn off all lights and heating when not necessary, and definitely when not in the apartment

Wow, where do I start! :) Well, I will start with the boring facts and me and in a nutshell: born in Scotland, moved to Toronto when I was only 3 (so yes, I don't have a Scottish accent unfortunately.....but pretty good at pretending), went to university in South Carolina (U.S.A.) and Toronto, been living abroad over 20 years, and am an international school teacher, currently teaching Physical Education and Health.
I really love the idea of, and the natural of Air B&B, due to its social potential, and more importantly, its cultural and learning benefits. I see myself as a very friendly, fun, and social person. I respect different people and look forward to building friendships, or at the very least, make temporary connections that make life positive and seem more meaningful. In being truthful also, I just spent a lot of money on my new apartment, and renovated it completely. Hence, the extra earning potential is appreciated....unfortunate reality.
I feel I have many good qualities in either being a host or guest. I believe in respecting others and always have the best intentions. I am certainly a people person with a big heart. That said, I couldn't do without sports, traveling, motorcycle rides, friends, family, laughing, adventures, music and dancing, movies, and most importantly....chocolate!
As for the type of guest I would be, or host I would want to be.....like I said, I am a very understanding and respectful person. How I act is what I would expect from others. I try not to be a hypocrite, and just love life to the fullest. That couldn't happen without being a solid character, nor without other interesting people in the world...yes, that means you! :)
I am very excited about this "world" because I like the idea of finding interesting experiences and people around different corners. Life is too short as we all know, so it is time to open some new doors. I truly believe entering my home and life would be a cool and good experience for you, your friends, or your family in general. I like suggestions and I do like input to make my life and other's much better and more enjoyable. May the force be with us all :).
