Ashley, Im sorry you had a difficult stay. I would like to address some of your comments. We do have guests downstairs, however we ask that shoes be taken off no matter what to keep the house clean as well as to minimize the noise downstairs. This is stated in the description.
There are no cats in the house. Apparently you saw a box that we use for storage in the front hall, way up high very out of normal view. That was a box for a cat litter machine I purchased that lives in the basement of our home next door. There has never been a cat in the church.
It is stated clearly that the church, however, is a pet friendly home, and we do allow dogs to come. If you knew of such allergies, you should not have choosen airbnb an home that clearly stated being pet friendly.
It is too bad that given the architecture, the stained glass, the abundant art, the hand made tile, the amazing space that you were provided, you somehow noticed only the bulbs that were missing (even though there is plenty of light) and the yellow wire that is, in fact, not live, and could only be reached if you hauled in a ten foot ladder and climbed up it to touch this wire.
Our homes are inspected, stamped and approved. There is always room for improvement from us; perhaps there is room from you for appreciation of beauty and happier, finer things in life, like original art, artisan touches, and a truly amazing space blessed by the men and women who created in from 1929 until present. How was that gorgeous stained glass in the morning when you woke?
