Located 35 mins from Cradle Mountain, Tasmania's Tasting Trail and over 200 other attractions nearby in what we call Cradle Country, our property offers an indoor heated swimming pool, onsite trout fishing, a silver mine to explore, evening spotlighting walk (subject to weather and host availability) and quad biking adventures (extra charge), set alongside Sheffield's magnificent Mt Roland. We offer guests a taste of rural and bush life as well as a personal experience with farm and wild animals.
Guests can go hiking on one of the many walking trails surrounding the property, including the 7 hour Mt Roland Summit Track. We host evening native wildlife walks onsite (subject to weather) to see brush tail possums, wallabies, owls and platypus.
The pool will be closed from July 2017 for major renovations and heating upgrade. We anticipate it will re-open in September 2017. We recommend any prospective guests wishing to swim throughout this period contact us to confirm availability.

Guests will have access to the entire cabin, indoor heated pool, 162 acres of garden/farm/bushland as well as the historic silver mine.
Farm rules apply: Guests must leave any farm gates they pass through the way they found them.
The property adjoins 10,000 hectares of nature reserve with more than 30km of walking track. Guests are free to explore this and we are happy to provide pointers on how to navigate it.

We (owners) live on the property and are generally available 8am-10am and 2pm-6pm. Outside these hours the owners are often available when tending to the property itself (feeding animals, replenishing firewood, tending to guests needs etc.).
We are delighted to share our experiences and knowledge of the surroundings with guests to help them make the most of what is available in region, particularly less well known attractions.
Our family has lived on the property for nearly 20 years and considers it a pleasure to offer recommendations and tips for travel within the region. We are equally happy to leave guests to enjoy their own privacy and travel plans. We're only happy when you're happy.
We require basic identifying information for all our guests. This includes legal name, current residential address and contact phone number. Requests made using Air BnB profiles that are incomplete, using an alias and/or with no prior reviews may be declined.
Inside the accommodation is strictly non-smoking.
Guests can smoke immediately outside the cabin and dispose of butts in the pots provided.
All other areas of the farm and bushland are strictly non-smoking due to fire risk.
For the safety of pets and wildlife and comfort of subsequent guests (eg. pet hair), pets are not permitted.
All dishes must be washed, dried and put away before departure.
To prevent fire hazzard, additional wood should not be loaded into fires that will not burn prior to departure.
