You will LOVE this 1822 Historic Home located just a few blocks from City Market right in the heart of all the nightlife, shopping, and dining. We are especially excited to have dining for 20, so that if you are trying to have a party there will be ample room to seat everyone. Great for a retreat, family get-together, girls getaway, or bachelorette party. This listing is for a combination of the main level and garden level. PLEASE NOTE: You will have to walk outside for a few steps in a private garden to get from the garden level up to the main level. We occasionally rent the levels separately, but rarely on weekends.

The home was redecorated in September, 2015 - so you have all brand new furnishing, mattresses, linens etc. The house itself , of course, was there while Thomas Jefferson was still alive!! Imagine the history!! All of the original architecture remains. Only bathrooms and a modern kitchen were added. Speaking of history - the president of France stayed here in the 1970's.That is because his ancestors would stay here all the way back to the early 1800's. So it was a family tradition:) Isn't that neat!!

We have tried to provide everything you will need to make your stay comfortable such as linens and a well stocked kitchen. It has tons of bakeware, serving dishes, platters, mixer, spices, coffee, tea and service for 20.

There are 44-48" flat screen TV's in each of the bedrooms. There are 4 DVD players with a collection of DVD's . Both living rooms have 55" Smart TVs with a Netflix subscription. There is cable-vision throughout the home as well as Wi-Fi internet.

The main house is 3 stories tall with the living room , formal dining room, and full service kitchen on the first floor. You will also have a powder room for your use as well as a laundry on this floor. There are two queen sized sleeper sofas for your use on the first floor.

The second story has 2 queen bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms (one ensuite.)The third floor has one queen bedroom and one king bedroom. There is a third full bathroom on this level , with one door directly off the queen bedroom. The king bedroom has access to this bathroom via a door in the hallway.

If you haven't noticed - you will be climbing some stairs!! So you might want to put the fittest people on this floor:)

This rental is for a combination of the main house and a unique garden level apartment. The garden level is way cool! All of the rooms have brick walls, most have the original brick floors and wood beams. The den has the cooking fireplace that had oven sections for baking. Really neat to think that this is how the first owners of the home cooked their food! Yes, it also has a modern 55" Smart TV with netflix subscription. There is a dining area that seats 6 comfortably and 8 squeezed :)

The king bedroom has a front door to the outside. There is another huge fireplace in this room. There is another bedroom with TWO queen beds, and a small bedroom with another queen bed.

Unfortunately, there was only room for one bathroom. I have a mirror in the kitchen for shaving / makeup application. You can get to the main floor powder room rather quickly since it is right off the back door. BUT remember you will be stepping outside for about 6 steps to access the main level. Years ago, someone replaced the old staircase with an air conditioning shaft. BUMMER!

There is a large rear facing balcony on the second floor as well as a pretty garden courtyard on the main level.

There are 2 private parking places in the rear. There is also a large city garage across the street that has good nightly rates. You can also buy a city visitors parking pass.

Besides the absolute beauty and historical importance of the home - you will LOVE the location. Especially of you are interested in walking to fine dining, shopping and nightlife.Look at the map view to get an idea of what is nearby.Garibaldi's, Paula Deen, Belford's, Alure, The Grey, Apersand, Anthropolgie, Kate Spade, J Crew, Free People, City Market and so forth are all within a 3 minute walk! River Street is a 6 minute walk. We are also just 1 block from the Jepson Museum of Modern Art. We are 2 blocks from the Civic Center if you are coming to town for an event. Most tours begin within 4-5 blocks of our home. We are not exaggerating about our FABULOUS location.

The Airbnb calendar settings are messed up. There are a few weekends where I allow 2 night minimums, but USUALLY it is a 3 night minimum. SORRY I cannot make this search correctly:( sept 15, 16 is a 2 night booking.

This is a million dollar home. I cannot tolerate the Airbnb Cancellation policies. I WILL NOT TOLERATE THEM!!! You must reply POSITIVE to a question that I state you will NOT BE ALLOWED to cancel after 30 days before arrival. NO REFUND AT ALL!!

NO SMOKING. The city has a vacation rental ordinance that fines the owner $500 if neighbors call the police for loud partying. WE WILL expect you to pay that fine if you are so loud the ;police are called in.We will also evict you as soon as we can get there with the police assisting. This is because we have a HUGE mortgage and a 2nd offence will SHUT US DOWN. We cannot afford that - so we are super strict on this. The good news is that at night we only have one neighbor - and that is a vacation rental . Our other neighbors are all law offices and a hotel. So chances are very small that anyone would call the police. That would not be the case in most other rentals in town that are adjacent to "real neighbors". We are lucky in that way not to have nosy neighbors. And the 24 hr. hotel personnel can see the house from their station and provide a safety level not available at other locations downtown.

We had an AMAZING stay and this beautiful home. The house was in the PERFECT location and we were able to walk everywhere. We had a wonderful time in Savannah and the house was better than I imagined.

Perfect location and a ton of space for everyone ! So nice to walk out the door and have the city at our feet. The basement apartment was exceptional with the brick floors and historic details. You will not be disappointed with this property.

This was an amazing AirBnB experience for my trip to Savannah to celebrate my milestone birthday. This house is truly stunning, historically preserved but with modern updates and conveniences. The location could not be better for the heart of Historic Downtown Savannah, seriously. I never moved my car once I parked it. Any my friends parked in the public garage directly across the street for only $12 the entire weekend! Close to restaurants, shopping, visitor's center, Jepson/Telfair Museum, SCAD, City Market, Broughton St...etc. A few people took Uber on one occasion only because their stiletto heels couldn't handle the brick sidewalks of Savannah. We used a private chef (PantryElf) the first night who had all she needed in the well-stocked upper kitchen. Everyone slept quietly and comfortably in the beds (nice quality mattresses/bedding/linen), and there was plenty of space for our group of 14. We couldn't figure out the heating on the main floor, which is programmed, but it was our fault for not contacting the host...and we were fine since no one slept on the main floor anyway! I'm trying to figure out another reason to go back to Savannah with a big group just to stay there again!

This is an amazing property, we loved everything about it. We had 14 people in for a wedding and everyone had a great time. All of the beds were very comfortable and nobody had a problem with sharing a bathroom. The house is in a great location with lots of great places within and easy walk. Our hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome and attended to all of our needs. If you have a large group and want to experience the real historic Savannah, I would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful home. Wow when you walk in the front door. Big rooms and stunningly decor. Just as pictured and more. We had a wonderful time. The location was better than we could have expected. Easy walking distance to City Market and Broughton Street for restaurants and shopping. We normally walked to the river except when it rained. Then Uber was very quick to pick us up. Great space and elegant furnishings. Statement design. All that visited loved the home.

The home was absolutely beautiful, so spacious and decorated very well! We felt so comfortable in the space and the host was extremely accommodating and welcoming. It was such an easy walk to everything downtown.
