My home is conveniently located (walking distance) near a recently renovated Springfield Town Center with upscale shops, great restaurants, a super movie theatre with reclining seats, an impressive LA Fitness, all within walking distance. Less than 10 minutes car ride is Kingstown, with another move theatre, lots of shops and restaurants.

It's all about you! If you prefer your privacy, I can respect that. If you would like to chat, I can do that as well. Transportation to/from all metropolitan airports and into DC, Old Towne Alexandria and National Harbor can be arranged if I am available.
I will usually be home while I have guests, but I can keep a low profile if that's what works best for you
I've lived in this neighborhood for 35 years. My neighbors are dear friends as well. Please know that when you stay in my home, there will be other folks close by to assist you if the need should arise.
Also, the Possibility Room and KK's Star room share a bathroom with shower/tub. The Tranquility Suite has its own private bath with shower.
For long-term guests, room access for professional cleaning every 3 weeks will be expected
Welcome, Dear Guests!
I embrace all positive loving people, regardless of race, religion, culture, nationality or sexual orientation. My home is best suited to people who feel the same.
I would like you to feel comfortable in my home but... No pets, no smoking on the property. My home is not appropriate for young children, so no children under 10 years old. In winter, use of the fireplace will need my assistance. Please remove shoes to limit nasty bacteria and toxins being tracked in. And please use coasters on any surface where they are offered.
And it should go without saying, but here I am saying it! Please:
No weapons (knives, guns, tasers, light sabers, you get the idea);
No loud music;
No illegal drugs:
No hard liquor;
No additional guests or visitors while you are my guest (there are liability reasons for this);
No opening of windows;
No messes in the kitchen, unless you clean them up before I see them :).
No pay per view on my DirectTV account unless you pay for them.
Do NOT change your address to mine via thePost Office. Long-term guests may have family and friend address mail to their name, "c/o Ginny Lenaghen".
If you are unable or unwilling to comply with these house rules, you will be required to leave with no refund (Airbnb policy).
No refunds due to travel issues from your end -- if you book your stay with me and your arrival is delayed until the next day, then travel insurance would be the appropriate way to guard against that.
Since there will be other guests staying in my home too, please respect their privacy and please be dressed outside your own bedroom. And please use the locks on the bathroom doors to avoid interruptions. There are locks on each bedroom door as well, so please lock the door when you leave to keep your belongings safe.
USEFUL THINGS TO KNOW:
The trash and recycling are in the pantry by the kitchen table.
The filtered water is inside fridge on left side, with ice in lower freezer top shelf left side.
The Paris bathroom has a trick shower. You turn on the water and then pull down on the brass ring around the mouth of the faucet to release the water from the shower head.
And on the positive side:
Long term guests will have room cleaned at least monthly; and you can ask for cleaning more frequently for a fee; clean sheets and towels are available weekly;
You are free to use my washer & dryer after a brief 'lesson' on their use; a donation is requested when you use my laundry supplies more than once.

I'm retired and single now, embracing the next chapter of my life. I am always happiest when I'm in a nurturing role, so hosting just makes sense! I've hosted many folks over the last 20 years who started out as strangers and became friends. I'm passionate about my family, my neighborhood, personal growth, the possibility of peace on earth, and -- of course -- chocolate! I believe in my heart of hearts that we are all connected. Hosting is a way to live that possibility :)
