It was a wonderful stay in the renovated shearer's quarters. Having the horses, cows and alpacas come by for visits was a delight for us and for our 2.5 yo - we all loved the escape from city life. The place was clean and comfy with a fireplace to keep us warm. The kitchen was well equipped and the breakfast provided on the first day was nice welcome. John, the caretaker of the property is an absolute gem - so friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We joined him to feed the days-old calf a couple of times and hope to be back again to ride the tractor and feed the horses next time. Definitely recommend staying here.

We have just spent such a great weekend at Kippilaw staying in Andrew's and Lynelle's converted sheepshearer's quarters. It was exactly what I had hoped for. The accomodation overlooks a wonderful view of the river and hills, the old chapel on the estate and alpacas & cattle. You get the sun in the morning and I think even a sunset in the evening, all of which you can sit and enjoy on the deck with a glass of wine. It is gorgeous and an utter haven of peace. Lynelle has decorated the place beautifully and it is light and airy but also very cosy with a wood burner and loads of throws, cushions and duvets to snuggle down in. And the bath is INCREDIBLE! Also little bits and pieces for breakfast were so much appreciated and such a nice touch you don't always get in airbnbs. You have everything you could possibly need and we totally loved it. A highlight for us (and particularly our four year old) was collecting eggs and going on a mini-tour of the grounds to see the newborn calves. Oh and catching leaves down the avenue of oak trees. The old farmstead is beautiful and I spent a good half hour admiring it whilst peacefully swinging away on a swing under one of the oldest cypresses in Australia (I think!). Highly recommended!

As visitors from Singapore, we enjoyed spending an enchanting few days at Kippilaw Homestead. The shearers quarters was spacious and modernly furnished. There are heaps of things to do at Kippilaw. Learn how to build a fire! Play with the calf next door - Bindi! Take a walk around the huge estate to just take in all the fresh air! Or just lounge at home, watching the cattle graze or read the book you have not had the time to read. Kippilaw is about a 15 min drive out of Goulburn town and the perfect accomodation for anyone wanting to disconnect and have a relaxing time. John and Vivien the caretakers also live on the estate and will come to you if you require assistance. They also thoughtfully prepared a warm welcome for us on the day we arrived. After a whole day of travel, It was so nice to arrive to see the roaring fire in the fireplace and see the fresh bread and jams on the table. Thank you so much. We will be telling all our friends about our short but memoravle stay at Kippilaw Homestead.

This farmstay is one of a kind. Both the accomodation and the farm are beautiful. Andrew and family made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended.

Andrew's place was extremely charming; it was cozy, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. It made for the perfect, relaxing weekend getaway. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. One of the highlights was sitting on the verandah with a cup of tea in the morning and looking out at the river. We loved lighting the fire, which kept things very toasty. We'll certainly be back!

The location is excellent ensuring complete privacy from other residences. Internally the residence is finished to a very high standard. Stunning aspect out front, with the river and livestock in paddocks immediately in front of buildings. Appliances all brand new in kitchen, bathroom brand new. Great bath in bathroom. Beds and bedding top notch. This place has been decked out with some serious thought and lovely touches. Ended up being quite a cold and wet weekend so had the fire going each evening which was a nice change from city-living. Verandah out front is a great spot for morning coffee or red wine in the evening. Our 3 and 1yr old daughters absolutely loved the proximity and availability of the animals. Lucky enough to have baby alpaca and potty calf in the next paddock! Once you leave the residence though, the grounds around the other buildings are seriously impressive. We spent each morning just wandering and finding new areas to explore . . . gardens / pond with ducks / acorns etc. You can really sense the history of the place. Residence was missing some bin bags upon arrival but lovely older couple as caretakers are always available for assistance. Also very nice of them to invite our girls to join in feeding time with some of the animals each morning. For those looking for a luxury farmstay, this is an excellent option. The only shame is we didn't get to use the outdoor fire pit. Looking forward to going back!
