Really comfortable single bedroom in Dublin's historic Liberties, close to city centre. Warm, light and bright and incredibly peaceful. The shower room is shared and guests have access to a well equipped kitchen and a city garden.
The house is an old red brick Edwardian house (circa 1910) that my husband and I refurbished, retaining many of the original features but giving it a contemporary feel. Its 15 minutes walk from Stephen's Green, Trinity College and all that the city centre has to offer. The house is situated in a tree lined street in an established and safe neighbourhood where everybody looks out for each other, and lots of friendly, nice people living in the area.

My husband and I use the house two to three times a week so, sometimes we will be there to meet and interact with our guest and when we are not there one of our friends or neighbours will be on hand to let you know exactly how the house works and what are the best/most interesting thinkgs to see and do in the area.
Wifi is unavailable and we do not have a TV so your stay in Gray street will be technology and stress-free. There are a lots of cafes close by however where you can access free wi-fi.
We would expect guests to respect our property and belongings and leave it as found. Smoking is not allowed on the premises.

I moved here to Sligo with my family over 6 years ago for a better quality of life and we really love where we live. Would describe myself as sociable and really interested in people. My husband and I have always been very involved with the arts so we enjoy good conversations about art, literature film and politics. The Saturday Guardian is one of the highlights of my week but regrettably, I don't always have the time or the patience to cook all those recipes that I keep cutting out. I cook great soup, French Onion, Roasted Red Pepper and Cassoulet are amongst my specialities! I have lived in Belgium and Holland so can still converse in French though my Dutch needs a little brushing up. Can't live without literature and music but have put off 'War and Peace' for the last ten years. Now ready to embark on this great literary adventure. Would welcome conversations on same with any airbnb guest with an interest in Tolstoy. Despite some 'highbrow' tastes I also have a passion for popular fiction; I just finished Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's 'Americanah', riveting.
