A sleek yet cozy home, this 2014 custom-built residence boasts an expansive, private outdoor space (back and side lawns, a hot tub, a BBQ, and several decks on a 6,500 square foot lot) perfect for entertaining, all in a quaint neighborhood just around the corner from the heart of downtown's shops, the Depot Bookstore, restaurants, cafes, theaters and the award-winning library.
This 2,500 square foot Craftsman-style home is modern but comfortable. The sun- drenched open-style floor plan features four bedrooms, four baths, a separate studio, indoor/outdoor accessibility from almost every room, high ceilings, wide-plank hardwood floors, a chef's kitchen, multiple dining areas (a dining table, counter seating, and island seating), and a three-sided Art Nouveau fireplace.
The spacious kitchen offers a rare Kinawa Satin granite countertop and zinc counter accent, plus an imported Italian gas range, wine refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, and stainless steel appliances. The adjoining deck has a bird's eye view of the yard below, rolling hillsides, and the quaint details of the picturesque hamlet of downtown Mill Valley, located 20 minutes north of San Francisco's iconic Golden Gate Bridge.
The four bedrooms are located downstairs. The master bedroom features a four-poster bed, en suite bathroom with a luxurious rain shower and deep soaking tub, walk-in closets, and a private deck. There is an additional full bath and three guest bedrooms, each opening out to a deck and lawn, offering a perfect flow for entertaining and family activities. The stacked washer/dryer is also located on the lower level. The 3rd bathroom is a half bath (no shower/tub) and located off the living room. The 4th bathroom located in the studio cottage is also half, and includes a sink and mini fridge.
The main outdoor space is highlighted by a giant Redwood tree, a hot tub hugged by bamboo, and a custom water feature ideal for relaxing and entertaining. The studio includes a toilet, sink and refrigerator and is a sweet spot to unwind with a good book and a glass of wine.
Despite being located in downtown Mill Valley, the home feels very private. In the front, there is a custom-made automated steel passenger gate that opens onto a private courtyard with room for two cars, spacious storage lockers perfect for bikes, outdoor equipment, or children's necessities.
This spacious and inviting home welcomes locals, travelers, families, and dog owners (with an additional pet deposit) and is available mid-April through mid-November, for a minimum of three nights, with discounts applied to weekly and monthly rentals.

Although this home is truly an oasis retreat, it is located in a family-oriented neighborhood where loud music and other distractions are discouraged after 10pm.
This home attracts a discerning guest and we expect each guest will treat the home and property as if it were their very own. Family neighborhood gets quiet after 9pm. No parties. We allow 1-2 dogs with increased deposit, and smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property. If you are staying longer than one week, a weekly cleaning fee of $150 is required. Check in time is 4pm, Check out time is 11am.
