A hilltop village that has grown beyond its original walls, it has a lovely "centro storico" as do dramatically-sited Certaldo, 18 minutes to the west, and San Gimignano, 20 minutes to the south-west. Florence is quickly reached along the motorway, 35 minutes, but the slower route through the Chianti Classico region on the Via Chiantigiana, 25 minutes, is one of the loveliest drives in Italy.
Villa d’ Elsa is a Tuscan villa dating back from early 1900’s. It is in a totally secluded environment which offers absolute peace and quiet with spectacular views of the surrounding hills.
It took 1 and a half year of renovation to get the villa where it is now, but for us it was imperative to keep the same Tuscan style and charm. All improvements have taken environmental aspects into great consideration in addition with modern comforts.

The large private outdoor area has many different possibilities and features garden furniture, barbecue and large pergola; an ideal spot for outdoor dining in the shade as well as a wonderful space to meet friends.
The private grounds boast the infinity pool, ( 18X6m) with one section (3X9m) for children.

THE STORY OF THE VILLA
Villad'Elsa was an abandoned peasant’s house when I and my husband discovered it ten years ago. A wrong turning while riding our motorbike led us to a fortunate event.
The true feeling of peace and tranquillity, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, made us decide that it was the perfect place to devote our life to hospitality as an opportunity to share our passion for ancient traditions.
We have previously run a quite large resort, but it was too big to be able to take special care of every single guest. Villa d’ Elsa instead has the right size to offer customized service and great attentiveness to our guests needs.
The same attention to details and all the lessons learned from the former job have been used to make Villa d’ Elsa as pleasant as our guests would expect it to be.
We will be always available to offer our assistance, advice and guidance to help you discover this wonderful corner of the world and its culture; but also and above all we want to show you that there is a place in the world where it is still possible to experience the rhythms of nature.
Let‘s leave the daily routine behind for a moment and instead let the nature surrounding Villa d’ Elsa take you a step back in time. Let‘s stop a while to enjoy to the full the things, the images, the colours ….the silences.
Here deep in the Tuscan countryside time really does seem to stand still.
Breathe our air, enjoy our family atmosphere, taste the flavour of our wonderful food and wine!
Let Villa d’Elsa be YOUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME
Villa d’ Elsa is the ideal answer for those who want a vacation that combines the pleasure of relaxation in a corner of silence and discovering Tuscany with its unique history art and good food. I and my husband Maurizio with our two girls Nicole and Giulia welcome guests with the sincere hospitality characteristic of the Tuscan rural lifestyle. As we like to maintain our reputation for hospitality we both work and live here in the annexe barn to make sure your holiday will be an unforgettable one.
Our guests will particularly enjoy the ancient and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for al fresco dinners arranged, on request, by myself with the preciuos help of my two daughters.
I will also be pleased to organise cooking classes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings starting with a trip to the local open air market and ending with a wonderful traditional Tuscan dinner cooked in the villa.
A pergola sits in front of the villa just outside living room furnished for dining with a barbecue while lending to the spectacular views of the surrounding countryside through cypress trees.
