High on a hill with beautiful views, Les Vieilles Pierres offers you the quiet of the countryside whilst only being 25 minutes from the centre of Lyon with fine dining, a UNESCO World Heritage site and popular Fête de la Lumière. We are surrounded by beautiful walks and VTT trails; discover the "Cabornes"; taste the local "Bouc et la Treille" wines; explore the Musée Ampère; dine in The Auberge or enjoy a relaxing massage chez Pascale. Poleymieux has plenty to offer.
We have two standard double rooms available and one twin-bedded room, each with an en-suite bathroom. Continental breakfast is served in the kitchen, or on the terrace if weather permits. A large sitting room with fireplace and TV is also available.
The pool is usually open from mid-May to mid-September.
Accès des voyageurs
You will obviously have access to your private room and bathroom as well as the sitting room and kitchen/dining area. You are welcome to use the garden and pool, weather permitting.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We work from home so will be here to advise you on places to visit and things to see and do in Lyon and surrounding areas. We can also recommend Lyon restaurants and places to eat locally.
Best to avoid the cat! She can be tricky.
This is our home, so we would therefore hope that our guests would respect that, whilst making themselves comfortable. We do not allow smoking in the house. The kitchen is available for you to make tea and coffee only.

My wife Lise and have lived in France (near Lyon) for nearly 15 years having moved here with my previous company. We decided to stay when that company wanted to send us back to the UK in 2005 and I now work freelance in the Private Equity sector. Lise is a part-time florist and keen cook and gardener.
We have 2 daughters, both of whom no longer live at home. The "empty nest" has prompted us to try our hand at bed and breakfast and a new adventure with AirB&B.
We love travelling and are starting to take advantage of our new found freedom. We particularly love Africa (I was born there) and Europe and have recently got into sailing thanks to a friend who is a keen sailor.
We are very easy going and want our guests to feel at home. Wherever we stay we make sure that we get out and about to visit the surrounding area/sights/countryside.
