The flat is an ideal base for the west end, with 5 minute walk to Glasgow University, Botanical Gardens, Byres Road, buses and Hillhead and Kelvinbridge SPT Underground Stations. There is not any immediate free parking nearby, parking is in Cecil Street at a Pay and Display meter Mon-Fri 0845 to 1715. Outwith these days/ time it is free to park, see photograph of parking meter. Also, I have renewed the sofa bed which had been uncomfortable.
The flat is located up one flight of stairs in a quiet townhouse. The decor is tired and in need of redecoration, however, it provides an ideal base if you are simply looking for a bed for the night, and quiet place for the evening. It is a compact flat, with one bedroom and a lounge with adjoining kitchen. The sofa bed opens into a double bed. The flat can accommodate up to 5 people. There is one shower and toilet so good organising is essential.

I live nearby so I am able to welcome you on your arrival and provide assistance when need be. Check-in is generally at 1 pm (Saturdays 2pm). If you arrive after 1 pm / 2 pm I will leave the keys in the key-safe box and you can arrive at your convenience.
The flat is located up a staircase that guests have to climb and carry their luggage, there is no lift.
The flat is on an elevated terrace overlooking Great Western Road, vehicles are not allowed on the terrace. If you arrive by taxi, you should ask to be dropped off at the bottom of Cecil Street. Thereafter it is 1 minute walk on to the terrace. The townhouse is situated next door to the Heritage Hotel.
Parking nearby is difficult, but not impossible! Cecil Street is the adjoining street to Alfred Terrace, this street has 2 types of marked bays. Most of the bays are Resident Permit Holders, visitors can not park in these bays. There are also some Park and Display bays (these bays are the ones which do not have Resident Permit Holders marked). Payment is during Mon - Fri from 08.45 to 1715. Outwith these days and time it is free to park. Also, don't park on the yellow lines, the traffic wardens are ruthless!
Guests should be respectful of my neighbours and keep noise to a minimum in the flat and stairwell area.
Please ensure you leave the flat tidy. All recycling material should be put downstairs into the green and blue recycling bins outside the red Shelter shop, leave other rubbish inside the flat. In the kitchen, the dishes should be washed and cleared away. If you move any pieces of furniture please put it back in it's original place. Thank you.

Living in Glasgow, I appreciate the amazing architecture that surrounds me. I like being in the small places/spaces where people can still meet. Enjoy expressive and performance art, particularly dance. I also hope to be involved in a community garden again soon. I work part-time as research consultant and also manage the letting of my property.
