A very comfortable, friendly and welcoming home with a lovely family, Breezy the schnauzer and new puppy. All amenities, beautifully clean and tastefully decorated. The room itself has a powerful ceiling fan (but no a/c) - still OK after mid-30's days for a good night's sleep. A/c in the rest of the house works well! Walking distance to South Bank, etc, but in a quiet neighbourhood. Happy to recommend to others - Louise, Phillip and family epitomise the spirit of airbnb.

Louise and her family were great hosts, very welcoming and willing to help out where they can. The house and room are lovely and modern with plenty of space and very private. It's very close to the CBD, 15 minute walk down to south bank - very steep hills though!! The free breakfast was lovely, bit of toast and fruit to keep you going. Thanks for having me.

What to say? This is a real Airbnb with close contact with whole family including animal member (a nice little dog). The house is stylish and sensibly renovated "Queenslander". The room is nice and clean including separated bathroom. Louise offers breakfast every morning, which helps a lot especially when she provides also gluten free bread and cereals when necessary as in my case. During the evenings I have nice talks with Louise and Phil including glass of wine and invitation to family dinner which stimulate our conversation. Since I attended congress in Convention Centre at South Bank the location was just perfect, 3 min ride on bike Phil provided me for my whole week. The way to the city center is just few minutes longer. On the other side, the location is super quiet and hidden from city rush. I can recommend for all travelers who looking for social contact and close relationship with locals. I definitely prefer this to no name apartments with never-ever-seen hosts.

I had one of my best Airbnb experiences with Louise and Phil. I was warmly welcomed by the whole family (including the cute doggies!!!) and was made to feel completely at home. It was so nice to be with a warm and friendly family while I was travelling alone and had many interesting conversations with the whole family. The room and bathroom were very big, beautifully finished, and clean and I had a great night's sleep. They have wonderful taste and the house is very nice and comfortable to be in. The location is excellent and very close to the main shopping area in the West End and South Bank, and not too far from the city too - it's very nice to go running from their house to South Bank. I would definitely recommend Louise and Phil as hosts to anyone and I really hope I get the chance to stay again one day! All the best to you guys!

Louise, her partner and the kids are very lovely and they definitely will make you feel welcomed! Oh, and the little schnauzer is great too! (Sorry, forgot its name) I booked the room last minute and could only stay one night as I had to fly back to Sydney again. Location is close to city/public transport. Louise gave my a lift the next morning, which was very kind of her. I really felt looked after and I would definitely stay again!

My name is Louise and I live in Beautiful Brisbane, Australia. I am a finance manager for a children's charity specialising in early intervention for children with autism, my husband Philip also works for a charity - for research into Juvenile Type 1 Diabetes and has just finished writing a book. My children are daughter India who is 18 and my son Nash who is 15. We all love to travel to explore new places and try different things. We are happy to go anywhere from backpacking in Vietnam to road trips in America. We are very respectful of other people's property and know the difference between just a house and your 'home' . Our favourite pastimes are markets, antique stores, renovating old properties ( well that's me !) and just enjoying being in new places and trying new food. Philip loves learning new languages and cycling and we all enjoy healthy eating and family life. We were originally from the UK, so absolutely love UK comedy and have brought up our children to have a great sense of humour. We have just finished renovating our 1930's house in the centre of Brisbane. We love meeting new people and especially overseas visitors, we are also a host family on occasions to German, Japanese, Korean and South American visitors.
