The property is managed primarily by our son, Paul, who lives in the house in front of the cabin. He knows the valley better than many lifelong residents, and can guide you to the best restaurants, untracked snow stashes, mountain bike trails, fishing hot spots, and locations for wildlife viewing. He knows the local hiking/climbing/fishing/river guides, and can arrange babysitting services, vehicle shuttles, child activities, community event tickets, etc.
Becky and Jim moved to Jackson in 1977 after running a 2000 acre cattle ranch at the base of the Wind River Range for a couple of years. We lived in several parts of the valley over the years, but once we arrived on the West bank of the Snake our relationship with Wilson was sealed.
Flaneurs both, we have worked in many fields and now are in a state we call "electively unemployed". We spend half the year in our cabin and the other half traveling and residing in Florida.
We enjoy Jackson Hole's diversity, both environmentally and culturally. We are whitewater rafters, canoeists, backcountry off-trail hikers, bikers, fly fishermen, climbers, and gardeners. We are interested in the regional history, anthropology, and plant/wildlife diversity. We love to read, to share stories, to attend live music performances.
Both of our children call Jackson Hole home: Paul lives in the house immediately in front of the cabin, is a small business owner, and has worked in the local hospitality field for the past 5 years. Hayley is an educator and owns the largest private tutoring company in the valley. They both are avid outdoor sport afficionados, and help to manage our cabin rentals.
