Backhouse with atmosphere in a creative former working class neighborhood, only 10 min away from Copenhagen downtown by Metro.
This former blacksmith has turned in to an industrial living apartment, nordic style - with room for five persons. New kitchen, bathroom, wifi, apple tv and small fireplace. Access to own little terrace all year. Basketball basket in the driveway. The building is a separate backhouse to our own villa. Calm and quiet area with easy access to center of CPH and airport.
The backhouse is an apartment right behind our villa. The building is not connected to the villa, and has its own entrance and facilities, that are not shared with others. Its a little rough, has once been a workshop for a blacksmith - the floor is the original - and not dirty - but kept in the original shape and look. Lots of daylight from skylight windows in the roof.

Take care of our backhouse. We love it for its special atmosphere.
Its not perfect restored, but with the right attitude you will discover how cosy and charming it is. It comes with towel and linen etc.
Hi' I'm Bettina. I love living in Copenhagen, especially in my own neighborhood.
I live in a red brick house with my family at four, looking out at a nice little oasis of a garden.
14 years ago my husband and I moved to this working class klondyke in an old area of Copenhagen because of the house and the location. The Metro came to town and suddenly we could get around the city smooth and easily.
This was a place with options and soul.
Today the area is a colorful pattern of creative people, families, schools, gyms, galleries and temples and churches of various religions.
I love that this is a place with space for cats, dogs, ideas and the typical Danish broadmindedness.
Cooking, eating and cooking are keywords in my family - especially classic Danish dishes. When our family does dine out, however, we often do it locally. The traditional Danish open-faced sandwich called Smørebrød is one of our favorites and there are plenty of smørrebrødsshops around.
We also love The Korean place around the corner, not to mention enjoying a cup of Coffee and a piece of layer cake at cool Lagkagehuset in the shoppingstreet.
We travel a lot with our two teenage boys Mikkel and Mathias. France is a favorite. But we are also typical Danes from the north. Both bright summer nights and long, dark evenings with fireplaces and candles in the fall and winter are greatly admired.
In rain, fog and sunny weather I always ride my bike to work and Copenhagen never stops surprising me. My motto for the ride is to find a new route every day. Travelling around by bike, I can highly recommend.
We are looking forward to warmly welcome you.
