“This is the most famous beach on St. Thomas. It is gorgeous. It is usually calm and seriously beautiful. But...Avoid it like the plague on days with lots of Cruise Ships in town (check out the VINOW cruise ship schedule to figure this out). Generally, it is quietest on the weekend, sometimes including Fridays. Sundays tend to be the day that all the locals visit here. There is a nice bar and a beach cafe with suitable choices for lunch. Snorkeling isn't great so don't bother. Chairs are not too expensive and can be bought in the beach shop (which has some really cute stuff by the way!). There are life guards. I'd suggest doing a 2 hour island tour (check out Franko and Brenda's Fun Tours), have them take you to Mountain Top for some souvenir shopping and a seriously gorgeous view of Magens and then drop you off at Magens for the rest of the day. It will be unforgettable.”

Grocery or Supermarket
“Locations in Redhook and in town. Moe’s is the most expensive grocery store on island, but it does boast organic and specialty products. It also has a wonderful wine selection and a nice deli with to-go sandwiches and a hot/cold bar with nice lunch options.”

Quartier
“Honestly, Red Hook is the sexiest neighbourhood on there island. But, it offers food eating options, a supermarket, pharmacy, surf shop and more. Here is our recommendation: Food: Texas Pit Bar B Q offers awesome chicken ribs & brisket, This is a great meal-to-go option, but come exalt because they always sellout. Located in th red Hook Plaza parking lot Texas Pit offers lunch & dinner. The Tap & Still is a great bar and serves awesome build-your-own burgers & fires. A burger at Tap & Still is a take-me-back-to-Burger King experience where you can have a great beef patty, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions and a bun. They make great fries too! ”

“I highly recommend going to St. John. It is a beautiful island that is 80% National Park. Either take the walk on ferry (runs every hour from Red Hook) and just walk around Cruz Bay or take the car ferry and make a whole day of it. There are great restaurants, historic sights, hiking trails, and pristine beaches.”

Parc
“Big sandy beach makes this a favorite for sea turtles to lay their eggs. This park is only open on weekends and cruise ship days, but will also be closed during turtle season. There are no services out there so make sure you bring everything you need.”

“Coral World is a wonderful Marine Park with great aquariums and an exciting underwater glass tower from which one can view coral reefs and happy fish. They also feature encounters with Sea Lions and Dolphins. Only a short walk from our villa next to Coki Beach.”

Nature
“Drake's Seat, St. Thomas One of the island's best lookouts, Drake's Seat offers a panoramic view of Magens Bay and the U.S. and British Virgin Islands to the east. The site is named for Sir Francis Drake, who is said to have kept watch over the harbor from this vantage point. (Was Drake benevolently watching over his own fleet or looking for ships to plunder? The answer will depend on whether you subscribe to the British's regard of him as a celebrated explorer or to others' belief that he was a brutal privateer.)”
