“This is one of our favourite restaurants in Portugal or anywhere. It is typically Portuguese, bright lights, tiles, lines of tables and football on the TV, and revealing families. Don't let that put you off just embrace it, and you also will love this place. One tip is that these dishes and large enough for two people and generally you order for the table rather than individual. You will never go hungry in Portugal!”

“The Chapel of Our Lady of St. Anne was erected at the top of the bar at the far end of Salir, that serves as the entrance to the bay. Its purpose was to bless the departing boats. The remaining ruins provide picturesque views of the ocean and setting sun.”

“É corajoso o suficiente para subir as dunas? Eu sei que custa, mas as vistas valem bem a pena. Garanta que faz a travessia do rio durante a maré baixa, senão terá que regressar a nado... \\\\\\\\\\\ Are you brave enough to go up the dunes? I know it's hard, but once you get there the views are worth it. Just be sure you cross the riverside during the low tide, or be prepared to swim back...”

“Actual name: DUNAS Cafe & Pastry Shop. Just 2 short blocks from the hotel. Convenient for coffee, local pastries, sandwiches and snacks, beer, wine and some liquors. Try a "tosta mista" (grilled ham and cheese toasted sandwich) for a quick breakfast item, if you want something other than pastry. You can get it on regular bread "paõ forma" or one of the more local rolls "paõ rustico"”

Locality
“Southern side of the bay. There is the river of Tornada there and it’s really nice place for fishing or taking the kids because the water is warmer. The main attraction is the Dune (Salir do Porto) - Once the largest of Europe- it stands out in the landscape of São Martinho Bay, with an altitude of approximately 50m and 200m in length. The core of the Dune consists in part of a red sandstone, vestige of an older fossil dune”
