“Sailor's bar made from the bones of a whaling ship. Try not to spill your drink on the crooked floor. It’s in Jack London Square, which in itself has lots of restaurants and shops and is a fun place to stroll around right on the water.”

“Great food, service and environment. It's a good place to bring guests if quality food is priority. But, Park Street is best for small town ambiance and after dinner strolls.”

“always hopping! on the corner of Encinal and Park so people watching is a must, jukebox for those classic 80s tunes, lots of terrific beers and cider on top, great little outdoor area, next door to Scolari's for the best burger in town--and you can bring it over and eat it there. Pretty much perfect place to chill”

“Cool location and great food. They make their own sausages and all dishes are fresh. I’m addicted to their tarter sauce which is also made in-house and usually order extra. Great beer selection and outdoor seating or an indoor view of the Bay and the boats.”

“this is located inside the Marketplace on Park and Buena Vista in Alameda--the best pizza in town! Also cocktails are to die for! As in, they keep inventing new cocktails and such. Try the ribbon pasta, the diablo pizza, the roasted wedge salad. We find ourselves there quite often on a tuesday evening for the dollar oysters and a pizza. Just great.”
