“By and far our favorite restaurant in the city! Two shotgun houses converted into one amazing restaurant featuring the best local cuisine I've ever tasted! You walk right through the kitchen to get to the back half of the restaurant. There are frame to frame pieces of art as well as intricate murals covering the walls. There's no reservations unless its a party of 6 or more, and there's always a wait because it truly is the best! Put your name on the list, walk next door for a drink and some live music, or hang out in the back patio for some relaxing pre-dinner conversation with some locals. Honestly a DO NOT miss if you can make it!”

“This is a peaceful place to watch the river flow, people-watch, and picnic...a very locals-oriented spot to relax. Groups of college students sunning or playing Frisbee, hand-holding couples, athletes heading for the ball fields, boats and barges of all descriptions gliding by. Quite opposite of the view from the French Quarter. ”
