“Sure you can see the water fountain from afar but actually going there is a whole other experience. In the summer you can rent a small boat for up to 6 people without a license and there are lots of activities for locals and tourists. There are also restaurants and bars around if you want to relax and take a break. ”

“The Mercantour National Park is a heaven for nature lovers. You can hike the 1700 km of trails, stroll through the meadows and enjoy the incredibly rich flora and fauna of the region. If you are more adventurous, you can go rafting and even conquer one of the many peaks in the park. The highest one is 3,000 meters! The journey to the park is an adventure in itself: the road to Mercantour will take you through dramatic mountains, isolated hilltops, pretty villages, river valleys, and steep cliffs. “Parc Paul Mistral is the biggest open park in Grenoble. In the park you can try running, jogging, there is an open skating area, and a stadium. In the park you can also find La Bobine, one of the most popular bars (and also a restaurant during the day) in the city. The place is normally full of very interesting people, mostly students but also people from all ages. If you are looking for a place to interact with other people and feel at home in the spirit of the Alps, you should come to Parc Paul Mistral!”

Jardin

Plages

Beach
“One of the most popular spots in Geneva is the Bains des Pâquis, an artificial peninsula surrounded by a lively beach that jets into the lake near Pâquis district (Rive Droite). It’s scenery is unmistakable due to the lighthouse at the end. Beach, which is very popular during hot summer days, has more than sufficient room to lie down and sunbathe, as well as easy access to the water. A magnificent view over the lake and the Jet d’Eau makes it a must place to visit. Paquis baths (Bains des Pâquis) are essentially two saunas, hammam and turkish baths; together with restaurant providing great spot for rejuvenation.”

“Gorges du Fier was my most favourite thing to do around Annecy! This place is awesome! Gorges du Fier is a canyon carved in a rock by the flowing waters of the river. These days it is a very popular attraction, due to its cliff-hugging foot bridge, which is suspended 25 metres above the river bed. Now, that is a site to see! So cool and really pretty!”
