Route
“Check the ferry schedule for up to date sailing info - The boat leaves approximately every hour from 6am to 11:40pm and transit takes 1 hour to downtown Seattle. Passenger fare is free to Seattle but you have to pay coming back. Car fare charged both ways. Stunning views of the Puget Sound, Bainbridge Island, West + Downtown Seattle, Space Needle and more! If you're lucky you'll see some local aquatic wildlife on your trip. There is also a 28 minute walk-on commuter ferry that leaves during peak hours.”

“These guys not only have the best beer in town, they donate their spent grain to our farm to use with our animals and composting. And, you can bring your pooch. ”

“We have a bus system, Kitsap Transit. The #96 is our local bus. It only runs during commuter hours; mornings and afternoons. We also have Viking Cab Company. Uber & Lyft are limited. I can provide rides to and from the ferry whenever possible.”

“Take the Port Orchard Foot Ferry to Bremerton- about a 15 minute ride over to Bremerton- great to have lunch or dinner at Anthony’s on the water. The foot ferry is cash only and $2 per person per ride. ”

Cinéma
“One of the last of its kind! The independently-owned Dragonfly Cinema movie theater is set in the heart of old Port Orchard, built in the 1920s and upgraded with comfortable seats, ample leg room, and great popcorn. The marquee changes frequently and show-cases many independent and unique films and also those favorite films from the past! The movies are great but the historic building, in itself, is a really fun place to explore! ”

Café
“Great local coffee shop that has a strong mission to provide opportunities to disenfranchised youth. The barista's are the friendliest in town. The shop has comfy spaces and tables to get your internet on! But it also has my favorite wrap, "the horsebite". Food is fast, fresh and delicious and the soups are home-made and to die-for! And it is located conveniently downtown on the water front if you want to peruse the antique and shabby-chic shops or jump on the Carlisle (foot ferry) for $2 to jet across the bay to visit Bremerton. ”
