“The Dancing Moose serves up the best Pannenkoeken in town! Well, the only Pannenkoeken but still the best. Definitely worth a try of these Dutch pancakes whether for breakfast or lunch! Also serving up coffee and other baked goods. ”

“Kennington Cove is a Beautiful beach with big waves and lots of sand. This is a popular beach among locals and a must go to if you are in the Louisburg area. Make sure to check the weather in Louisburg before heading out as it is often a bit cooler in Louisburg than in Sydney. ”

“This trail is the closest hiking trail there is to Sydney being about a 20-minute drive. The trail has a collection of trails which vary in distance totalling 10km. At most this hike will take you 3 hours. The trail is very popular among locals as it is very close to town. The beginning of the hike can be a bit difficult as it is a little steep but quickly levels out. At the top, you are able to get a panoramic view of the Sydney area. The trail is split into three main trails. ”

“awesome place to take the kids , watch a football game, visit the dog park, go for a jog, walk, or just enjoy the outdoor area! A great place for all! Welcome to the Open Hearth Park website. Open Hearth Park officially opened Labour Day weekend 2013. The park is adjacent to Harbourside Commercial Park and is owned and managed by Harbourside. Open Hearth Park includes a multi-use sports field with synthetic turf, a commons area, an outdoor concert venue and a playground, a bike park and dog park, and a trail network with bridges connecting downtown Sydney with the communities of Whitney Pier, Ashby and the North End. Along the winding trails are exercise equipment that is there to enjoy. A”

Surf Spot
“Most beautiful beach on the island (it my opinion). Features the Atlantic ocean, a river and waterfall. ”

Beach
“For guests who would like access to the Bras d'Or, which is part of the Atlantic Ocean, previous guests have enjoyed swimming and relaxing at Groves Point. Most locals go to this provincial park that is monitored to swim. The park is still able to maintain its peacefulness. Guests also particularly enjoy the warm water at Groves Point.”

Trail
“Franey trail gives you a 360-degree view of the entire Clyburn Brook canyon and the Atlantic coastline from Cape Smokey to Ingonish. The trail is a 7.4-km loop taking approximately 2-3 hours. This trail is rated to be difficult due to the increasing elevation and rugged sections. The walk starts through thick Acadian forest and as you gain altitude it changes to boreal forest with huge rocky outcroppings. ”
