Beach
“This harbourside beach is a popular tourist spot so it gets busy on public holidays. Every other day you will have it almost to yourself. It is leash free for dogs but check the signs. There is a small cafe and a Marine park feature which is fascinating, run by volunteers so check the times. There is also a small seal colony as you wall up to Georges Heights. We will tell you how to find it. Swimming all year round, there is a net. People fish from the wharf, illegally as it happens. Scuba divers love this area for its rich undersea scapes including a colony of seahorses. We love it because it is only a few hundred meters down the road.”

“From George's head you have a panoramic view of the harbour and the two headlands through which all vessels travel to get in and out. It's just a lovely way to get a concept of the rich geography in Sydney from a spectacular vantagepoint. It's located in the historic military base too! Free and fabulous. ”

“Delicious Sushi Bar - Only a few minutes walk from my place. Please note that the icon on the map is misleading. The restaurant is much closer, opposite the Buena Vista Hotel, near the roundabout. ”
