“The collection dates back to 1872 when the Museo Patrio (Native Musem) was founded with a donation from the Chamber of Trade and Crafts and the private collection of pharmacist and ship-owner Antun Drobac. The collection of 100 year-old taxidermy specimens may not appeal to everyone, but kids will probably love it and learn a lot too, and the museum is not so big as to keep you on foot for hours. Other rooms are used for temporary exhibitions. Open 10:00 - 17:00, Sat 10:00 - 14:00. Closed Sun. ”

The Fort was not attacked since its construction until 6. December of 1991 (St. Nicolas day) when it was attacked by chetniks heavy artillery, but the Serbs failed to occupy it. The fighting around the Fort lasted all day long and 24 heroes of HOS and HV Special Unit managed there to withstand the attack. “when you are in Dubrovnik, even just for a day the city walls are definitely worth the climb. You'll need about and hour to do the full circle or probably even more since there are plenty of motive for photographing. Make sure to bring enough water with you, you can full your bottle in any of the fountains in the Old town. There are a few cafes up there but they are pretty expensive. I recommend going early in the morning or after 5 PM. ”

“Fort Lovrjenac, also known as the Gibraltar of Dubrovnik, is a fortress located on a cliff outside the outer walls on the west side of Dubrovnik, 37 meters above the sea level. The fort is known for the performances and weddings that take place in this monumental building and most importantly as a historical symbol of resistance to the Venetian Republic. Great to see!”
