“Great place for a nice dinner. This restaurant is on the campus of the College of the Ozarks and is staffed exclusively by students. Additionally, much of the food is grown on campus and the freshness shows in the dishes. It's not overly stuffy or fancy, but you may need a reservation.”

“If you haven't tried the all-you-can-eat Sunday Brunch at the Keeter Center then you are missing out. It's expensive, it's only on Sunday, and you must make reservations but the food and service is excellent. Not only do you get a wide variety of foods grown and prepared fresh right there at the College of the Ozarks, you get entertainment from a wide range of student musical talent.”

“The nearby village of Hollister is home to Vintage Paris, a great, cozy second-wave coffee house serving third-wave-quality coffee. (Note they cater to the nearby College of the Ozarks crowd, so they aren't open early but stay open late.)”

“4.4 miles of trail that includes areas featuring the city’s most rigorous hiking, including a set of 315 stonework steps constructed in the last 1930’s. You’ll come upon beautiful woodlands, an old homestead and barn, two caves, a grotto, a waterfall, and some of the area’s most stunning views of Lake Taneycomo and the Ozarks’ countryside”
