“Poo Poo is a really great trail almost straight up Tiger Mountain for amazing views of the Issaquah Valley, Mt Rainer, and Cascade Foothills. When you get to huge view point about 10 min further is the take off place for paragliders. Super fun to watch! Moderate strenuousness. Dogs on leashes okay. ”

“Wonderful beach with swimming and sandcastle building areas, trails and terrific playground. You can pick up a Discover Pass for State Park Entrance for 1 Year for $30 at Fred Meyer or any local sporting goods store or pay $5 cash entrance fee. Highly recommend for families with children. ”

“A huge area of intersecting trails! You can go on a specific hike there (I recommend Coal Creek Falls in the winter and spring when the falls are not dried up - approx 2-3 easy miles depending on what route you take) or this is a great place to walk or trail run and just wander the different trails. You can get endless miles out of that place and it's all beautiful!! Very close by as well. Great year-round trails. Find more info on or Alltrails.”

“Jak’s steakhouse does not take reservations and gets busy. Put your name in & enjoy a stroll down Front Street or hang out in the lively bar while you wait. Jak’s serves the best mojito in town”

“Historic farmhouses were moved here to create a boutique shopping as I90 freeway was being built in the 1960s. Board walks connect little shops. Be sure to check out Whitehorse Toys. Really fun place to Christmas and special birthday present shop. ”

“We rate Sunset’s food over this, but Levitate wins for ambiance with a fun outdoor back patio and open front window for people watching. They serve the Impossible Burger for any plant-based food fans (Call ahead – they often run out!) ”

“Try some local brews and a burger. Family friendly. If you are in town in September or October, definitely pop over to the fish hatchery next door and see if you can spot a jumping salmon or two trying to get over the weir.”
