“Great river access, BBQ, volleyball, grassy area, playground and campsites. This portion of Applegate River is slow moving but cold so lots of people hang out and wade into the water on hot days. Fee to enter park.”

“Views from the cliffs extend across the Rogue River to the Siskiyous and the Cascades. Spring offers the best time for viewing the many different wildflowers and birds. However, the hikes are open year around and always offer stunning views. 4.8 miles long and takes about 3 hours to hike from top to bottom. ”

“There is also a Lower Table Rock Trail. Both of these trails are 5 miles roundtrip (if you walk along the top). Once on top you hike flat along the top of the plateau to the edge for stunning views of our valley. This is what is left of an ancient volcanic lava flow. Kids can easily do this hike. Bring water and a picnic for the top. Dogs not allowed so plan accordingly. Free parking. Outhouse style bathroom at parking lot.”

“A beautiful and challenging hike that offers fantastic panoramic views as its reward. Even more challenging and not for the faint of heart is hiking from Pilot Rock to the Greensprings Inn....a 15 mile hike along the PCT with the reward of the greensprings inn at the end (exceptional food and beer! Yay!) This one needs preparation though... carry food and water and be in good shape to handle 7-8 hours of continuous hiking.....you also need a shuttle driver to pick you up at the end unless you have the foresight to drop a car up there before starting at the other end....whew! ”

“Lots of trail options. Climb to the top of Roxy Ann Peak or do the loops around it. Mountain biking, snowshoeing, running, walking your dog... Great views of the valley from the east looking west. Parking is along the road or drive up to the bigger parking area. Lots of trail maps to guide you, too.”
