Restaurant portugais
“MUST MUST MUST! Tasca do Joel is one, if not THE BEST restaurant in Peniche. The food is exceptional, the setting is super nice and the price is quite reasonable given the gastronomic experience. My favourite dish here is the Braised Seabass and Mussel Rice (I've translated this from the Portuguese name, so it might be a bit different on the menu). ”

“Solar dos Amigos was born 37 years old, initially started as a small cellar where small snacks were served accompanied by the sound of Portuguese fado. Over the years the restaurant has grown and currently has 5 rooms, each room has a decoration linked to the art of bullfighting. In this restaurant our guests are welcomed with great sympathy, and thus end up feeling as if they were from home, engaging in this warm atmosphere transmitted by this team.”

“A super nice place for you to have dinner with friends. This is a small restaurant in Baleal Island that serves really nice food. When I go there I usually only order their 'petiscos', they are all good. Must have: Pica-pau de Atum”

Boulangerie
“Historically, Obidos was presented to the Queen of Portugal on her wedding day, a tradition that began with Queen Urraca in 1214 and continued until the 19th century. This royal patronage has left an enduring legacy of pride within the town, and today it is one of the most characterful towns of central Portugal. For visitors, Obidos is a charming town to explore; there are narrow-cobbled streets, traditional painted houses, and an imposing medieval castle. Obidos may be just a small town, but there is no better example of a traditional Portuguese town than Obidos. The best method to travel to Obidos from Lisbon is by the express bus. The bus service departs from Campo Grande bus station, which is located on the green and yellow metro line. The journey takes 1 hour ”

Restaurant
“CEIA has a nice coffee shop (open all day) and a great restaurant (only open for lunch) we can warmly recommend – on weekdays meals come at €7.5 per person for the daily menu including starter, main and a drink (try their sangria!), and a la carte menu is also available. On Sundays (and occasionally on Saturdays when horse riding shows or competitions are ongoing) they serve a fantastic buffet made of a wide choice of the regional cuisine – a must in our opinion!”
