Nourriture
“LOVE Almost Home. Great fresh baked scones, old fashioned drop donuts, GF options, fabulous sandwiches, gifts, kitchenware, WINE and best of all, gourmet take out when you don't want to eat out but you don't want to cook either. What makes this place special for me....every Wednesday morning a group of gals who call themselves The Coffee Mates meet. These ladies are young at heart and range from their 70s into their 90s. Their "meeting" consists of catching up with each other, celebrating and laughing at the meetings "minutes" which are mostly off color jokes they get from the internet. I love listening to their stories. ”

“Small but mighty. Lots of good beer swag in this place. And if you are hungry, pop in next door to the Grapevine Grill for a groovy sandwich or Nancy's famous crab cakes.”

“One of the best VT hikes. Two trailhead options- Meg prefers the Lincoln Gap Ascent. About 45 mins away. Stop in the small town of Bristol before or after to refuel!”

“Bristol is our local "go to" town, just south of Starksboro. It's an iconic Vermont village, complete with Village Green and gazebo. Many locally owned shops and galleries line the main street, and there are restaurants and cafes to enjoy. It also has a Rite Aid pharmacy and and Shaw's supermarket where you can re-supply, and of course, a good wine and beverage shop.”

“The trail head to the top of Mt. Abraham begins here. It is about a four and a half hike, round trip. The view at the summit is spectacular on a clear day. ”
