Hôtel
“The banks of Loch Lomond are genuinely very bonnie and worth a visit. The loch is a few miles from us and there are multiple walks in the area, many with spectacular views. There are also boat trips from Tarbet, a very pretty loch side village at Luss and an aquarium at the southern tip of the loch.”

“Loch Lomond is a lake in southern Scotland. It’s part of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. The surrounding highlands area is home to red deer and oak woodlands. On the eastern shore, footpaths and cycle trails criss-cross craggy Ben Lomond mountain and the smaller Conic Hill. Across the loch, Luss Heritage Path winds through rolling countryside and ancient Luss village, with its stone cottages.”

“The local Munro! Do a bit of “bagging” whilst you are here and conquer the infamous Ben Lomond. Amazing views and a fairly easy walk as far as Munro’s go!”

“Balloch Country Park is a 200-acre country park on the southern tip of Loch Lomond in West Dunbartonshire, Scotland. It was recognised as a country park in 1980, and it is the only country park in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, Scotland's first national park.”

“48 minutes. A handy go-to place on a wet day. Tucked away behind the retail section of Loch Lomond Shores, this is a place you are not likely to stumble across. ”

“Part of the West Highland Way, located just beside the village of Balmaha. Conic hill is a sharp peaked mountain created by the Highland Boundary Fault. It is a beautiful walk and it is perfect for dogs. During the lambing season, dogs are not allowed in the two enclosed fields on the east approach to Conic Hill, even if they are on a lead. The season normally lasts for around three weeks at the end of April and early May. However, this does not affect access with a dog to Conic Hill from the Balmaha direction. Fingers crossed for good weather because the views from the top are just fab. There is also a car park at the base, allowing those with vehicles a place to park before climbing the hill. Surrounding the car park are a number of shops including a pub/restaurant, coffee shop and village shop. Dogs are only allowed outside, but there are nice seating areas to enjoy, if its not too chilly!”

“The pretty conservation village of Luss is around 20 min drive from BnB on the western shore of Loch Lomond. A settlement has stood on this site since medieval times although much of the current village dates from the 18th and 19th centuries, having been developed to house workers from nearby slate quarries. With its prim, identical sandstone and slate cottages garlanded in rambling roses, and its narrow sandy, pebbly strand, the village became the setting for the successful TV soap High Road which undoubtedly contributed to its popularity during the 1980s and 1990s. For anyone wanting to escape the crowds, the 19th century parish church offers a haven of peace.”
