National Park
“Acadia National Park is one of the most beloved parks in the world! There is something for everyone- lots of hiking- from very easy to extreme. There is great biking on the carriage trails. And when the restaurants are open- tea and popovers at the Jordan Pond House are a perfect way to top off a spectacular day! You can drive a car to the top of Cadillac Mountain- so everyone can experience the view from the top. ”

“Visit Jordan Pond House for tea and popovers. This restaurant is nestled inside beautiful Acadia National Park. Much more touristy than the Asticou but fun nonetheless. ”

“This is one of my favorite place on the island. At low tide, it is expansive, with thousands of exposed rocks and hundreds of tide pools to explore.”

“A beautiful 1/2 mile path along the shore. It starts at the pier and ends at Wayman Lane. You can walk up Wayman Lane to get back to Main Street.”

“This path begins in front of the historic Bar Harbor Inn by the marina, and follows the rocky shore past old, beautiful architecture with views out to the ocean of the Porcupine Islands. A lovely thing to do before or after dinner on a summer night-especially when the moon is full. Toward the end of the path, one can take a path to the right back into town, and walk through town if you like, to enjoy the shops or have an ice cream cone while completing the loop.”

“Otter Cliff is part of Acadia National Park, which is an absolute must-see for any and all trips to Maine. But Otter Cliff itself is pretty jaw-dropping. It reminds me of the high, sheer cliffs in Northern California and Oregon. Truly beautiful and well worth the drive.”
