Jardin
“North Sydney's worst kept secret, this garden is a delight to see. Born out of grief, Wendy Whiteley has created a living work of art to remember those she has lost and continues to inspire those who visit.”

“This park has two tennis courts and a basketball court. It also has a great hill to sit on for a picnic or just to watch the world go by from. ”

Plages

Beach
“This is one of the jewels of Sydney's beach scene and you can easily see why. Balmoral Beach is as expansive as most of the city's ocean beaches, but its harbourside position means it's shielded from winds and big waves, so the calm waters provide a sheltered swimming enclosure and lovely picnic spots.”

“There's a fantastic walk from the Spit to Manly. It's about 10km long, easy going and stunningly beautiful. Catch a bus to the spit then walk to Manly for lunch.”

Beach
“30 minutes away towards the city. On leash only area; and only between 10am and 6pm. It's another beach area that is very popular in the southern end of the beaches.”

Beach
“This harbourside beach is a popular tourist spot so it gets busy on public holidays. Every other day you will have it almost to yourself. It is leash free for dogs but check the signs. There is a small cafe and a Marine park feature which is fascinating, run by volunteers so check the times. There is also a small seal colony as you wall up to Georges Heights. We will tell you how to find it. Swimming all year round, there is a net. People fish from the wharf, illegally as it happens. Scuba divers love this area for its rich undersea scapes including a colony of seahorses. We love it because it is only a few hundred meters down the road.”
