“What is it? A green haven in the south of the city. Why go? Spread over almost 250 acres, this Grade I-listed park offers an abundance of luxuriant green space. Kids will love the huge playground, while those with a hankering for horticulture can explore the Victorian Palm House, home to Liverpool’s fab botanical gardens. Caves, waterfalls... it’s like being on another continent altogether.”

Beach
“Running alongside the majestic Newborough Forrest, this spectacular beach stretches for over 3 miles and is framed to the left by the majestic mountains of Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula. The walk to the lighthouse at the tip of Llanddwyn Island will take about 30-45 minutes at a gentle walking pace, and you’ll be rewarded with spectacular view of the North Wales coast. Fish and chips are available in Newborough village too!”

“Discover all about these gentle, majestic animals in our family friendly adventure. This is a truly wonderful interactive experience. You will get the opportunity to interact and handle one of our friendly llamas. Our Llama experience lasts approx 1 1/2 hours. You will be greeted by your expert guide who will give an interesting talk about these amazing animals. You will than have a llama handling lesson where you will learn how to walk and interact with your llama. Once you have had a practice you will go on a peaceful, enjoyable trek . During the trek you can admire the spectacular scenery with your llama walking companion. After the trek its time to try your skill at some llama agility! Experience first hand how intelligent and graceful Llamas are as you try your hand at llama agility - a first in the UK! There are plenty of photo opportunities- in fact our llamas are natural posers and love to have their picture taken! An fantastic, fun experience for the whole family (children must be accompanied by an adult at all times)”

Sentiers de randonnée

Mountain
“This attraction has been around for quite some time now and is the highest mountain in Wales. Enjoy the attraction that nature gave us an and Wales contribution to the UK’s 3 peaks challenge. With an elevation of 1085 meters it will take you around 6 hours to reach the peak, over half a million avid walkers take on the challenge each year. It worth looking into the different routes and choose the route that suits your capability best. My preferred route is the Snowdon Mountain Railway that gets you to the summit in no time.”

“This mesmerising falls is located about 15 minute drive from Ashleigh Cabin to the mainland. The falls itself is a perfect location for picnics, photography lovers, or people who simply wish to sit and let the world go by! It's about 20 minute walk from the car park and is a gentle, consistent incline all the way up. A personal favourite of ours! ”

“Newborough Forest has it all! Great walking, at all levels. Brilliant mountain biking. Little trails for little legs. Running and trim trails for the energetic. And if you fancy getting out of the trees, head out onto Newborough Beach with a picnic. Top tip: Can you find the best kids swing ever?? So much fun! Head towards Llanddwyn Island and look for the rocky outcrop. Walking and biking distance from the beach carpark. Beach car park is £5 but we'll leave our annual pass for you, so you can get in for free!! Alternatively you can park on the road for free on route to Newborough village, but bear in mind it is a long walk (too long for little legs) to reach the beach from here. Instead you would park here for a little trot around the woods. Or park opposite in Red Squirrel Woodland (also free) and see if you can spot the famous red squirrels which reside here. ”
