“RAMEN! They serve the usual tonkotsu-gyokai double soup for lunch, but at night serve a creamy chicken and seafood blend that is heavenly. Warito also employs a number of tricks to keep your tsukemen at a steady heat throughout the meal. This shop is a descendent of the legendary TETSU, which is probably one of the three or four most famous tsukemen shops in Tokyo. The shop is clean and sleek with lots of dark brown woods contrasting with the gleaming silver kitchen, but none of this is self-consciously overdone. Merely, every part of the ramen experience has been carefully considered. This is a very pleasing shop. Tokyo, Meguro-ku, Aobadai 3-7-10 Open from 11am-330pm and 6-10pm-closed Wed”

“Meguro Sky Garden is an outdoor rooftop garden, spiraling over a custom built facility that covers the junction of several major expressways. The garden is a testament to Japanese ingenuity and architecture, not to mention a great use of the space. Japan, 〒153-0044 Tōkyō-to, Meguro-ku, 目黒区Ōhashi, 1 Chome−9−2”

“Out of the many deserving coffee shops that have recently opened in Tokyo, if we had to use our trembling, caffeine-addled fingers to place the crown on just one it would be this hipster haven in Ikejiri-Ohashi. The relaxed enclave that it’s carved out of the creative atmosphere of the area is decorated like a garage, with an assortment of tools on the wall and lumber hanging casually from storage units attached to the ceiling. Seating comes in the form of worn old furniture strewn around the room and three stools placed at the counter. As well as being one of the few places in Tokyo you can get a flat white (a double shot of espresso with steamed milk, priced here at ¥450) ”
