Trail
“Our family's favorite hike! About a 40 minute drive heading towards South Lake, but definitely worth it! The hike is family friendly (Always seeing families of four on it and dogs) The hike is about an hour up and ends with the beautiful site of the Eagle Falls Lake! You can go for a dip, but it is icy cold! But something fun to do! About halfway up the hike there are jaw-dropping views of the lake and more specifically Emerald Bay, one of the most historical and iconic places of the whole lake, if not the most iconic spot of the whole lake!”

Bike Trail
“The bike trail begins at Squaw Valley and goes all the way to Tahoe City. It parallels River Road (Rt. 89) and the other side is the Truckee River. The path is flat and can be accessed by anyone who enjoys bike riding. ”

“This is my favorite 2.5 mile loop. Half of the hike is along the American River and the other is through the trees. Much of the hike is shaded and there is a composting toilet available.”
