“Recommending PP as a fun eatery but to also draw attention to a more mellow, less touristy beach, Playa Del Rey. If you want a vast sandy beach to soak your legs in and breathe in the salty coast, then try this beach with accessible public free parking. It’s not a surf beach because of the beach break, but is great for splashing, playing. Located just south of the marina, which you can walk up to the jetties and explore. Playa Provisions has very delicious breakfast and coffee options. Child friendly! Lunch is also very fun with extended seating and fire places throughout. In the evenings, the boast a speakeasy in the back of the restaurant. Overall, a solid travel find. ”

“The Tripel is also owned by Playa Provisions. Its more of a bar scene though with great food. Grab a beer and catch a game or meet up with some friends. There's several tables and its a locals favorite.”

“Excellent southern Italian food! Lisa the owner is always adding to the menu, but the basics are terrific. If you make a reservation, request a booth. Their eggplant parmesan is, bar none, one of the best you will ever have. (And when I say this, I can tell you I'm a former New Yorker - self-styled aficionados of Italian food!) If you have to wait, the Harbor Room bar is conveniently located next door.”
