Château
“This medieval castle is one of the finest and rarest of its kind. A little further to drive, but well worth a visit on a dry day. Lots to learn about the French aristocracy that built it and its ensuing years of fascinating history. Take good walking shoes/trainers so that you don't miss the towers, dungeon and moat. There is a nice cafe and picnic area at the entrance. English Heritage site”

Cave
“A popular venue to travel 600 feet underground on a tour through an iron ore mine that was started by the Romans. In WW2 over 12,000 tons of ore a week was shipped by rail to Newport to be smelted as part of the war effort. At Christmas time, the mine is transformed into one huge Santas Grotto and is a real treat for children.”

Museum
“One of the first Norman Castles built to separate the Welsh (Celts) from the English under Norman rule post the 1066 invasion. A good example of the type, and interesting for the way it uses the steep cliff face rising from the River Wye as part of its defensive posture.”

“Travel back over 100 years to a world filled with Victorian characters in costumes. The 52 acre site is a bustling recreation of a Victorian Town, and uses token pounds, shillings and pence for its transactions. See the original historic buildings on the site. Visit the workshops, cottages, shops. Enjoy tasty fish and chips cooked the traditional way and even try a pint in the old pub. ”

Kinver edge is an area of countryside with well laid out walking paths which wind their way around the hill overlooking the area. Very popular with dog walkers. The Rock houses can be seen for free from the paths or you can pay to go inside. Their is a nice cafe serving teas and coffees.
