Marché fermier
“Soulard Market is the oldest farmers market west of the Mississippi established in 1779 and is open Wednesday-Saturday. We have 13 local farmers, 1 organic farmer, a florist and spice shop, and many produce vendors. The market also carries a variety of other general merchandise like shirts, jewelry, incense, sports memorabilia, hand made soaps, carpet, photography and hand made crafts. ”

“Ted Drewes is a historic St. Louis landmark with the best frozen custard you won’t find anywhere else. I use to eat too many banana splits from this. The lines are always long but it goes fast and sometimes the lines look long but people are just waiting for their order or socializing. It has 2 locations but the Chippewa location is only closed a couple winter months out the year. Please check their website for details.”

“Incredible sandwiches that will remind you of New Orleans. Don't let the long line fool you: It moves quickly. My go-to sandwich is the Thunderbird with a bag of Red Hot Riplets chips. Double check the times they're open as they can vary!”
