“We presume that this is why you're here. The park is a natural treasure and it has been getting more popular each and every year. Our advice: get there early. The lines to get into the park are growing longer. If you can't get in early, then try to the 29 Palms entrance. Most of the popular hikes are closer to the Joshua Tree entrance but the 29 Palms entrance does offer up the less trodden trails, as well. The most popular "greatest hits" trails include Hidden Valley, Barker Dam, Keys View, Ryan Mountain and Wall Street Mill. If you get inside towards the late afternoon, no worries--a drive around the park taking in the Wonderland of Rock and all the boulder formations is just as rewarding as a hike. ”

“Where the Old West meets Coachella in the Mojave Desert. Go to take in the music, everyone from Paul McCartney (yes, really) to Little Dragon to Future Islands to the open mic night, which never disappoints. The food is authentic, from ribs to porterhouse steaks and amazing burgers. ”

Outlet Mall
“Located 40 minutes away; Conveniently located between Palm Springs and Los Angeles, Cabazon Outlets offers a unique desert landscape shopping experience nestled between the Santa Rosa and San Gorgonio Mountain Range. This quaint 65,000 square foot retail shopping center features 18 specialty retailers in a relaxed open-air environment. Cabazon is a name that has become synonymous with quality outlet shopping and is a destination for over 15 million shoppers every year. The architectural focal point of the center is a copper-clad Florentine dome. The dome is crowned by a lantern and spire, which stands over an elaborate stone compass inlay, identifying local landmarks and orienting customers to other destinations.”

Spiritual Center
“You’ve heard the hype, and it’s totally worth it. There’s really no better way to settle in to desert solitude than lying in a dome full of strangers while waves of sound via crystal bowls reverberate through your body. However, you do have to make a reservation well in advance, so if you didn’t get to it this time around, then we would highly suggest making it happen your next visit out.”
