“Featuring grassfed organic burgers, the best damn veggie burger in these United States, and an awesome craft beer selection, Green Truck has gained fame far and wide for their locally sourced, farm to table fare. They make it all from scratch including (quite famously) their ketchup. Stop asking questions and go eat there!”

“What can I say? Leopold’s is an institution in Savannah. At their busiest times, you’ll find yourself waiting in a line all the way down the block, but it is so worth it! Dozens of homemade flavors that change weekly, they’ll let you sample a few before you decide - decent sandwiches, too. ”

“A favorite among locals for coffee and delicious vegan food, “The Bean” is also one of the city's most active music venues and has been featured in the New York Times. The shop also hosts weekly film screenings under the “Psychotronic Film Festival” group! The kitchen is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and beer and wine are also on offer.”

“A favorite of all the locals. Best burgers and sandwiches... crab stew rocks. Unfortunately, it’s not a secret anymore, so the best time to go is around 3ish.”

“South African food. This is a walk-up window but they do have seating outside. We really like to take our food to the nearest square and eat there. ”

“No menu, you just pass around all the dishes and get what you like... just like Sunday dinner. It’s truly unique, southern experience. ”

“Local 11 Ten’s dinner menu is rich in locally sourced ingredients, and their beautiful bar boasts some of the best classic and classically inspired cocktails in town (try the barrel aged Inverted Manhattan!) You can also dine or enjoy a drink under the stars at Perch, their rooftop patio. ”

“I love this place. One of the best bakeries I've ever been too world wide. The biscuit breakfast sandwiches are amazing so are all the pastries. Open Thursday to Sunday only until 3pm. They sell out and often have long lines, but well worth it.”

“Everyone's favorite pizza in Savannah, Vinnie's serves by the slice as well as whole pies. It's super cheap and open late but damn good and you'll find yourself eating there a lot if you move here! Just remember, it's cash only. ”

“In the same vein as Garibaldi’s, Circa is a great places for drinks if you’re not in the mood for a dive bar. The bar half of the French restaurant is beautifully decorated and dimly lit, and has a largely local customer base despite its location in the heart of downtown. (You can order food on the bar side as well. If you’re a burger lover, theirs is one of the best burgers in town!) ”
