The secluded site includes two miles of protected tidal beaches as well as open meadow lands, dramatic sea cliffs, forest groves, active sand dunes, thickets and streams. Trail
“Look up the map to this trail great for walking, running and especially biking. It goes from beyond the beaches on Lake Washington at Magnuson Park (where there is an off leash dog park, boat ramps too) all the way to Ballard. It runs along a lot of water areas with stunning views of downtown and peaks into different neighborhoods. Start at Gas Works Park and follow the trail through Fremont to Ballard. Or go the opposite direction all the way to Magnuson Park!”

If you are looking for low energy output but want to be out in nature but don't want to drive out of the city, this is a perfect place for you. You will say hello to osprey, bald eagles, warblers, woodpeckers, finches, grebes, and a variety of ducks and innumerable other winged visitors to the area. ”
