“If you're coming from downtown, a quick Red Line train will get you here. If you're coming from the apartment I recommend a Lyft or Uber. There's old Chinatown which is sort of south with a restaurant that Anthony Bourdain ate at, then there's new Chinatown which is north and has a whole alleyway of a bunch of restaurants. ”

“One of the city's premier deep-dish pizza makers, Lou Malnati's claims to have invented the gooey behemoth (though that's a matter of never-ending dispute). Not in dispute: the deliciousness of Malnati's famed butter crust. Gluten-free diners can opt for either a wheat-free thin crust or the 'sausage crust' (it’s literally just meat, no dough). The restaurant has outlets citywide.”

“The Museum Campus was created to transform the vicinity of three of the city's most notable museums – the Adler Planetarium, the Shedd Aquarium, and the Field Museum of Natural History – along with Soldier Field stadium, into a scenic pedestrian-friendly area. The area is landscaped with greenery and flora as well as jogging paths and walkways. A picturesque promenade along Solidarity Drive, an isthmus, links Northerly Island to the mainland. 60 min public transit, 32 min drive from our home. http://www.chicagoparkdistrict.com/parks/grant-park/”
