Place
“Square that takes its name from the Iberian embassy there. It is known above all for the surreal and enchanting beauty of the staircase that dominates its scene, that of Trinità dei Monti. At the center of the square "la barcaccia" the small but enchanting masterpiece of Baroque art by Gianlorenzo Bernini.”

Route
“The Spanish Steps (Italian: Scalinata di Trinità dei Monti) are a set of steps in Rome, Italy, climbing a steep slope between the Piazza di Spagna at the base and Piazza Trinità dei Monti, dominated by the Trinità dei Monti church at the top. The monumental stairway of 135 steps (the slightly elevated drainage system is often mistaken for the first step) was built with French diplomat Étienne Gueffier’s bequeathed funds of 20,000 scudi, in 1723–1725, linking the Bourbon Spanish Embassy, and the Trinità dei Monti church that was under the patronage of the Bourbon kings of France, both located above — to the Holy See in Palazzo Monaldeschi located below. The stairway was designed by architects Francesco de Sanctis and Alessandro Specchi.”

“Amazing ice cream... Stop here and have ice cream and a drink or a coffee after visiting the Spanish Steps. They have a little pond with LIVE TURTLES! Some of them are really old, too! They've been there forever (like everything else in Rome). ”

“World famous for the buffet of appetizers. The restaurant will offer you selected dishes from the old Roman cuisine and exotic dishes from the Mediterranean region. The restaurant is divided into three sections: two internal (indoors) and one external (outdoors). Each of the indoor sections has unique architecture and offers unforgettable experiences. The tables in the open air will let you feel cool even on hot summer days. ”

“On the 6th floor of the Hassler Hotel, the panoramic Michelin starred restaurant Imàgo offers one of the most fantastic panoramas of Rome. Windows surround the entire restaurant, creating a what seems like a life-size painting of the city. Roman locals and international guests alike love this spectacular location. Imàgo is a unique experience of fine dining in Rome. The reinterpretation of regional Italian cuisine completes the charming atmosphere with soft music in the background and the gorgeous view.”
