Crêperie

“Tandem is a jewel of a place located right in downtown T.R. They have truly perfected their crepes and serve lattes that are to die for. Their menu varies by season, but we truly haven’t had anything we didn’t like! My personal favorites are anything with goat cheese, the Lumberjack, and the simple but delicious Lemon Sugar crepe. Their menu is divided into sweet and savory, and they also have a great selection of teas. Their Jasmine tea is served in a glass pot and smells divine. Finally, they have waffles and even homemade sodas. All of this is in an absolutely gorgeous modern environment. After your meal, take a walk on the Swamp Rabbit trail and enjoy the beauty of the day, you’ll be glad you made a side stop in Traveler’s Rest.”

Boulangerie
“This is a wonderful breakfast spot. Upcountry serves fresh-baked breads and pastries along with a menu of skillets, sandwiches, and other delicacies. When it's warm outside, it's lovely to sit out on their patio, and they've also been known to host some fun events like oyster roasts. ”

“A stalwart of the Travelers Rest community, Leopard Forest is the kind of place where certain locals come in just about every morning to order the same latte or Americano and chat with friends and neighbors. Service is friendly, and the coffee beans are roasted on-site.”

Bar
“My favorite spot in all of Travelers Rest. Best wine choices ever. Buy it by the glass, the bottle or the case. They also have several unique beers on tap at all times. The owner is a second degree sommelier and a certified beer guy as well. Order take away food from one of TR's restaurants and bring it to the tasting room to enjoy with one of their fine wines. Great porch.”

“As owners of this eclectic shop, we're admittedly biased, but this is the place to go in TR for interesting vintage and new gift items and lifestyle goods. Brands we carry include Stay Home Club, Native Bear, P. F. Candle Co., Mother Mountain Herbals, and Shoyeido Incense. We also feature a number of locally-made items. Check us out (at)homebodysc on Instagram and Facebook for our current hours. At present, we're open 11:30-5 on Fridays and Saturdays and can occasionally open by appointment.”
