“When having opened Menza, we wanted to create a place where you can enjoy a traditional Pest style dining experience with a grand café-restaurant quality service. With our name and interior we salute the beloved retro era. Come and enjoy a perfect coffee on our terrace and taste delicious Hungarian dishes.”

“I recommend this café for it's historical past and unique , beautiful design. Multiple famous hungarian authors wrote their best selling novels and poems like The Paul Street Boys. It's located between Erzsébet avenue and Dohány streer, It's about 100 m away from the Pretty Good Flat of Downtown.”

Restaurant de spécialités juives
“Mazel Tov is an open hearted cultural space in the city's center, a streamlined and comforting place focusing on gastronomy in the 7th district, in the middle of the historically Jewish quarter, today's downtown's night-life center. This urban, recreational, dog-friendly garden laden with planted herbs and trees is transformed into a garden party location in the evenings. We wish to establish an informal, casual atmosphere, an easily digestible urban meeting point, which transforms into one of the most intimate and greenest arbors at dusk, every day of the week.”

“The mile-long Király Street is flourishing and buzzing with activity. This street is of historical significance and is perpendicular to Kazinczy Street. It's also one of the entrances to the passage known as Gozsdu Udvar, which feels like an entirely separate hub of the city. In addition to the shops, hostels, restaurants, bars, bistros, and teahouses, the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music also help to shape the street's cultural character. In the winter months, Király Street is defined by the Christmas lights and the smell of roasted chestnuts. From spring, it's the territory of tourists and locals in search of fun spots for a day or night out.”

Boulangerie
“BITE Bakery Café opened on Nyugati Square in 2013 proffering pretzels, tasty rolls topped with mascarpone, and delicious coffee concoctions; stepping inside, enticing scents welcome visitors, and the counter is full of generously filled, additive-free pastries. Since the opening, BITE has also introduced pretzel sandwiches, salty pies, and homemade muesli to their repertoire. The selection boasts pretzels, tasty rolls generously filled with mascarpone, and delicious coffee concoctions. We recommend to try all of the pretzel variations from plain to bacon and cheese-sausage. Furthermore, guests can also taste delicious cocoa rolls in various sizes.”

“According to the owner of Kiskovász Bakery, Péter Sábli, the secret to excellent bread is: flour, salt, water, and ‘matured’ yeast. The pastries are made according to ancient recipes in the wood-fired oven of a farmhouse in Vas county, and are brought to the bakery on Nagymező Street 36 corner O utca, where the palatable products made of clean, additive-free, and high-quality flour even entice people with gluten intolerance inside. Furthermore we find classic pastries, croissants, cocoa- and cinnamon rolls and sandwiches. ***Very friendly staff, valuable prices, good coffee. €”
