“Lake Elmo Park Reserve is 2,165 acres (3.5 square miles) with 80 percent of its acreage set aside for preservation and protection. This portion will eventually resemble the land as it was prior to the arrival of the settlers in the mid-1800s. This park reserve offers gently rolling hills with a variety of landscape types, including forest and prairie. Watch for pheasants, weasels, red fox, woodpeckers, cardinals, cottontail rabbits, squirrels, and white-tailed deer.”

“Teddy Bear Park with its larger than life granite teddy bears, is a must see for all ages, the park is built into a limestone bluff and located at 207 Nelson Street E on the corner of 2nd Street South and Nelson Street near downtown Stillwater. The park is open to the public 8 am to 8 pm from mid-April to mid-October weather dependent. The park play equipment is designed for children 7 years of age and younger. Every summer there are many children's programs scheduled to entertain the children. No pets or alcohol allowed in Teddy Bear Park. ”

“Our family loves this place. Inside the visitor center, you'll find live native animals, including turtles, frogs, and raptors. There are trails to explore, and a pumpkin patch and apple orchard. Great for families and couples, this nature center has events often, from bird banding to preschool programs.”
