“Local park great for a short hike or taking the dogs. It has a huge grass dog park and hosts a number of community events like the annual hot air balloon race in September. If you go across the highway you can go on a longer ~3 mile hike or run up Evans Creek Canyon”

Beach
“This beach is truly hidden. Before the trail there are two rows of houses. Parking is minimal due to construction. However, after the second row of houses there is a dirt area for parking. You must know...this is also another Lake Tahoe attraction that can get crowded and it will be difficult to find parking unless you arrive early.”

Trail
“Walk about 15- 20 minutes towards the Downtown truckee river. If it's summer you can take a dip in the water--watch the river height, as some years it can be a little dangerous for little ones. Bring or rent a tube and float through various sections of the river...or just stroll right alongside the river, stopping to eat, drink, shop. ”

“Park on Hwy28 across from the Tunnel Creek Cafe. Walk up the road behind the Cafe where it will dead end into a dirt serivce road/trail. Follow the road for a great hike with some beatiful views of the lake. Bonus points if you can find Monkey Rock (and internet search may be required to find it's location)”
