Parc
“At 5,200 acres, this is the largest park within any U.S. city. It gets very popular in summer, especially on week- ends, so if you want to check it out be prepared to embrace the crowds. See Witch's Castle under Hikes. ”

Restaurant thaïlandais

“Pok Pok, back in 2005, started as a little take out space. We thought, oh, I wonder if that will make it. Now, some 14 years later, Pok Pok is it's own little Thai food kingdom, with four Portland restaurants and one in Los Angeles. The food shines, the waits can be long, and it's the kind of place that's made Portland become what people know it to be today. Pok Pok located on SE Division is the original Pok Pok serving SE Asia street and pub food, mostly centered on North and NE Thailand. If you are on the waitlist, you can enjoy appetizers and beverages at their across the street location, Whiskey Soda Lounge, located kitty-corner from Pok Pok. Their hosts happily coordinate between the two locations. Hours 11:30am-10pm”

“The Pittock Mansion is a French Renaissance-style château. But if you are in the mood for a beautiful view of Portland with Mt. Hood in the backdrop, on a non cloudy day :), then this is a must. There are two way to get there. First is by car which will take you to the parking lot of the Mansion. After you are done sightseeing, can you quickly drive to the Washington Park International Rose Garden and the Japanese Garden. The other way to get to Pittock Mansion is by hiking through Forest Park. To do this, you will have to drive to Lower Macleay Park. Take the hike until you reach the abandoned Stone House. You will continue hiking past and the trail will bring you to the Pittock Mansion. The hike is about 40 min, depending on your pace. It is worth it! ”

Parc
“Best place to see multiple waterfalls in the state. Try to Trail of 10 Falls for a 7 to 9 mile challenge (no dogs), or a 4 mile out-and-back on the Rim Trail which is pooch friendly. Best visited on weekdays, as this is the most popular state park in Oregon. $5 day pass unless you have a state parks pass. Large pavilion with snack concession including beer and wine.”

“American fast-food style burger in a bar/restaurant with a nice outdoor patio. Most pubs in the neighborhood offer good, hefty burgers with plenty of dressings, this is a simpler, slightly smaller one, but solid and satisfying. This restaurant is attached to the lovely Mississippi Studios music venue.”

“ One of the best breakfast/brunch/dinner spots in the neighborhood and an easy 15min walk. There is almost always a wait but it's quick... walk around the hood while your table awaits.”

“Our favorite geothermal, extinct volcano, right in the heart of Portland. Start at the bottom, at the SE 60th and Lincoln entrance (go past the community garden), and walk all the way up to the top. Stunning city views await!”
