The portions here are huge! Some of our favorites include grilled swordfish, cioppino, clam chowder & fish n chips. Bobby Flay did a "throwdown" here and Phil won. Phil's left their longtime location in Moss Landing late 2022. You will now find them at 10700 Merritt St, Castroville.

A great chef that sources local ingredients. The menu is petite and selective, many things are house-made. House-made items include: bread - delish (sold to the public Friday and Saturdays), pastas and charcuterie (they make their own salami/sausage).

Our favorite casual but AWESOME food restaurant in the Monterey Bay corridor. Chef Nick creates the most flavorful dishes. Voted Best New Restaurant & Best Overall in Capitola in 2021. Favorites are the Pork Belly, Tuna TarTar Taco's, any of his pasta dishes, and the daily fish selection and steak. No bar, wine, and beer only. They give great advice for wine pairing with their dishes. Many wines are local.

FANTASTIC New York style pizza! Brother's Brandon and Chris "knocked it out of the park" according to local friends from NYC! They keep it simple with "cupping" pepperoni, cheese, and supreme selections. Try some with "Mike's Hot Honey" - I love it! A Detroit-style gluten-free pizza is available with 24-hour notice. The Slice Project is a simple restaurant with great food in the heart of downtown Watsonville.

Approximately 40 miles from Pajaro Dunes, this beautiful river valley in the Santa Lucia range is one of the finest wine-growing regions in California. Bernardus Winery, one of our favorite chardonnays, is located here and has a couple of great restaurants. Peppered with wineries and restaurants we enjoy a warm, valley drive now and then.

Flip flops and layers...
It may feel warm when you walk out the door to head to the beach, however, there is often a breeze down by the water. We layer for optimum comfort. Be sure to bring flip-flops if you like to feel the sand beneath your feet. We usually leave them on the side of the access stairways, they're typically safe, you be the judge : )
